To honor the sacrifice of New York City Veterans, Mayor Bill de Blasio created the Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS) on April 8th, 2016, making DVS the first standalone City agency in the country dedicated to serving Veterans and their families.

New York State

The New York State Division of Veterans’ Services (DVS or Division) advocates on behalf of New York’s Veterans and their families, as individuals and as a group, to ensure they receive benefits granted by law for service in the United States Armed Forces.
